If you’ve already done the monuments, museums, and school field trips, this guide is for you.
This is DC for people who want vibes, good drinks, movement, and a little culture sprinkled in.
Perfect for a girls’ weekend or a cousin trip.
Where to Stay:
First rule: stay in the heart of the city.
Everything should be accessible, walking, or Uber, late-night food, all of it.
The Airbnb we stayed at was AMAZING. Clean, modern, and perfect for two people sharing a bed. If you’re going with more than two people, I’d recommend something bigger, but for a duo? This was perfect.

Location really is everything in DC, and this spot made the whole weekend easy.
Friday Night: Dinner That Turns Into the Night
You’re starting the weekend at Park at 14th.
For dinner:
- I got the salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus — 9/10, so so good.
- My cousin got the jerk chicken wings and said they were amazing. A little spicy though… and she is not a spice girl.
The best part?
Park at 14th seamlessly turns into a bar/club, so you don’t have to relocate. Eat, drink, dance, repeat.
Perfect first-night energy.
Saturday Morning: Aerial Yoga (Yes, Really)

Saturday morning = Endless Om Yoga (Aerial Yoga).
They offer intro aerial classes, which is perfect if you’ve never tried it. This was my first time and I had a literal blast. Fun, challenging, and different from your typical workout.
Just a heads up:
You WILL be sore after.
Worth it though.
Saturday Afternoon: Brunch… But Really Drinks
Next stop: FOCUS for brunch.
Now listen. We’re going to be honest here.
- Food? 4/10 (below average, not memorable)
- Mimosas? ENDLESS. AND I MEAN ENDLESS.
We got there around 2 PM and didn’t leave until 7 PM. The vibes were high, the drinks kept coming, and this is absolutely a place you go for the experience, not the food.
Late Night Eats: Taqueria Los Perez (Do Not Skip)
At some point in the night, when you realize dancing burns calories and alcohol creates hunger… you’re going to need tacos.
Enter: Taqueria Los Perez.
This was a late-night snack adventure and honestly one of the best food moments of the trip.
The steak tacos??? INSANE. So flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and exactly what you want after being outside all night.
Saturday Night: Outside Until the Sun Comes Up
To keep the energy going, head to Rosebar.
This is where you:
- Dance
- Sweat out the mimosas
- Lose track of time
- Party until the sun is dangerously close to coming up
Also gorgeous for taking pictures literally like a rose but made into a bar.
Sunday: Chill, Shop, Culture Sprinkle
Sunday is about slowing down just enough.
- Coffee at Peet’s Coffee ☕
- Head to Tysons Corner Mall for shopping
- Stop by:
- Larz Anderson House Museum
- National Archives Museum
It’s the perfect balance of relaxing, exploring, and feeling like you still “did something cultural.”
This DC weekend is for:
- People who’ve already done the major museums
- Girls who want a fun, social, grown weekend
- Travelers who care about vibes just as much as itinerary
DC has layers, and this is the fun side.
