BIG GIRL TIME

Not in some fake “main character” movie montage way, but in the way that makes me actually enjoy being here, living this Big Girl Time life for real.

The 9-5 (Or Let’s Be Real, 8-6)

Working full-time ain’t for the weak. Between calls, emails, and trying to achieve business casual attire, some days I feel like I’m running on hopes and dreams.

Romanticizing my life at work looks like:
→ Playing my favorite music while answering emails
→ Wearing a cute outfit so at least one thing feels put-together

Little Joys That Get Me Through

Here’s the truth: I’m not out here buying $10 lattes every day or living some Pinterest aesthetic.

Romanticizing my life looks like:

• Watching my shows while I do my skincare routine
• Buying a new lip gloss because I “deserve it”
• Going to the mall to window shop
• going to bed early on a weekend for rest well needed

It’s the little things that makes the chaos feel softer.

Travel, But Keep It Real

Everyone loves the idea of travel, but let’s not act like it’s all cute dresses and beaches.

Sometimes it’s:

• Being at the airport at 4 AM half-asleep
• Fighting with you suitcase to suit just for it to be over weight
• Running out of storage on my phone mid-vlog
• Budgeting so hard you’re counting coins for your airport snack

But then you’re standing on the beach in Aruba, feeling the sun on your face, and it’s all worth it.

Loving Myself and My People

Romanticizing my life also means taking care of me and my people.

Dreaming out loud even when it scares me

Planning girls’ nights because I need my girls

Praying with Darius my boyfriend about where we’re headed in life

Saying “no” when I’m overwhelmed

What Big Girl Time Really Means

So yeah Big Girl Time isn’t always cute. Sometimes it’s crying in your car after work and then deciding to go get tacos because you deserve them.

It’s choosing joy in small moments. It’s figuring out life on your own terms.

And it’s knowing that even on the hard days, I’m still out here living.
