Oh vacations! How I love traveling! No matter how short or long, I love experiencing the world and living life outside of my normal routine. As you all know IF you read my goals blog post, you would know that one of my big goals this year is to travel to a new destination once a month! The month of January I have a SUPER exciting trip planned and I absolutely cannot wait to share it with you in next weeks blog! In this blog I will be covering all of the things… or most of the things I do before a trip!
- Pack

Listen I know some people dread packing but I LOVE to pack. It fills me with such excitement! Here are some of my tips and tricks on how to be a successful packer.
Start freaking early: Why do people pack so stinking late! How I view it, is there is no way you will look your best on vacation if you are packing the day before. Hate me, Love me, blah blah blah. Pack earlier!
Invest in a good suitcase and packing accessories: Okay so when I say invest, I do not mean spend a fortune, I mean just make sure that they are decent quality. I love packing cubes and they help me overall just stay organized in my suitcase.
2. Look my Stinking BEST
I love love love this part. When I look my best, I know I will feel my absolute best. Here is all that I am doing to prepare my body!

Hair: You got to have a plan for your hair on vacation. Whether you are wearing your natural hair out or getting braids, twist, a wig, etc, you have to have a plan. This tropical trip I am going on I am getting Goddess braids in a bob.

Nails: I love testing out new styles on my nails for vacation and I feel like it is just my time to be more creative with it! This is what I am doing on my nails.

Toes: I prefer to keep my toes pretty simple honestly. I either do a full color or I will do some type of French tip. I do acrylic on my big toes and that is it. You do not have to go and get your toes done but at least make sure that your feet are properly groomed. I also like doing a footmask right before I leave just to make sure everything is nice and supple and soft.
Lashes and Waxing: I do both of these things myself and I love it. I buy lash cluster sets and honestly they end up looking so good and typically last me a very long time. For waxing I only wax my cooch. Nothing else simply because I find that shaving alone does the job for me. When I wax my cooch I do shave afterwards to ensure I got everything but I find that I drastically minimalize razor bumps this way.
3. Do your research
I may go a little over board with this but it is no important to research the places that you are going to be the best prepared for the trip. I like to watch YouTube video scroll around on google maps and look at the government official website (if travelling to a new country) to find all of the important information I may need. For instance, for my upcoming trip I found out through YouTube videos that I had to fill out a embarkment and dismemberment form then I checked on the government official website to confirm. If I did not know that I would of be sprung up with an unexpected cost in the airport. Something else that YouTube videos do is they pump you up. They make you excited for the trip. You see all of these people sharing their experiences and now you want your own!
There are so many more things I do to get ready but we would be here for days. If you want a more detailed look into what I do to prepare for my trip, check out my YouTube channel @KimayaWilson to see more! Okay TTYL!
