Big Girl Maintenance

Personally I really enjoy getting my hair, nails, etc done but it was not always like that. Before I got a steady job, maintenance of my body was always such a task for me. It cost so much money and choosing my hair and nails over a seafood boil did not always compute in my head. Before I get into the pricing please understand that by no means do you need to spend how much I do on these items and if you learn how to do them yourself, I believe that it is a valuable skill to have. This how I choose to spend my money and I specifically budget for it each month.

Nails: I have started to go to a nail tech for my nails because I was tired of trying to hold out for a month when going to a regular salon and by the 2 week a nail is already off and my nails grew out are dull, and just look trashy. So I started going to a nail tech and I LOVE IT. I can talk to her as a friend and I Love the results! For my hands it will typically cost around $70-$110 This is a once a month expense that I budget for.

Toes: Honestly I am still in the process of finding a place or tech that i like but I have something lol. I go to a salon and will typically pay $55-$70 dollars. I get acrylic on my big toes for a more “polished look” If I did not get acrylic on my big toes I would do my toes at home. Getting a at home gel nail kit with the light is honestly a great investment and looks good the more you practice!

Hair: This is the most variable upkeep. This can range from $100-$400 dollars. That hurt typing it out but it is true the amount of hairstyles that are out there and the cost of materials, stylist, and hair really cost so much. You DO NOT need to spend this much find cheaper alternatives if you have a different budget!
