BIG GIRL TIME

Being a big girl is HARD enough and you mean to tell me I have to look good while doing it??? Please folks get a grip.

Okay look as much as I do not like this whole looking good thing lol it honestly is apart of being a big girl. Looking put together is apart of that first impressions situation. Yes is it easier to just roll out of bed and move on with your day, yup but being viewed like you actually did that can affect so many aspects of your life!

I am making this into a series so this is the hair edition. Hairstyles have a special place in my heart because I have had so many good and bad situations with it. My hair is definitely a sore spot for me. When I was younger I didn’t get my hair done by a stylist very often. I grew up with a mother who insourced rather than outsourced. So she would do our hair, we would do our nails, we took care of ourselves. Which was such a valuable ideal to have especially when your young. Knowing how to do it yourself saved us so much money and will save you money whenever your in a tough spot or just want to save a bit of money.

Learning how to insource rather than outsource is so valuable and I highly recommend to learn how to do your hair yourself. But it would be a lie to tell yall that I do my hair on my own often. I don’t anymore. I prioritize certain things in life and I really like how it feels to get my hair done by a stylist.

So now you know this is the Big Girl Blog so of course I gotta complain a little. WHY IS THIS STUFF SO DANG EXPENSIVE??? Listen every month I pay for 1 hairstyle. That is what I budget for each month. So if a hairstyle does not last for the entire month then I will do my hair myself and wait until my next hair appointment. But I prioritize my hair as I believe you should to. Your hair health, look, smell, etc. can effect how people view you. One of the first memories my boyfriend has of me involves my hair and my makeup.

I will end this series by saying be mind of your hair. It can effect more settings than you know!
