“Summer Bodies”

Oh summer bodies!! Don’t we love them.. if we had them. Always striving to be skinner or to put on more weight, to have a bigger butt or thin out those thighs, to flatten that stomach or tone my arms or get rid of these dumb hip dips… The list could go on for days. We are always finding a reason to pick on ourselves and our bodies but hear me out..

It is not bad to not favor a certain part of your body and to want to fix it. BUT what is important to understand is that the minute you start to obsess over the tiny parts of your body that you dont favor it becomes unhealthy.

I really want to lose weight. I am the heaviest I have ever been and I am noticing parts of my body changing that I do not like. My stomach is getting bigger and I am STARTING TO GET A DOUBLE CHIN. It is concerning but I also will not obsess over it.

I have started to incorporate meal prepping into my weekly routine. It can be hard to stay on top of but I am determined. I prep my work lunches and a snack. Here is an example of one. Here you can see I was prepping my snacks for a few days and the shrimp to go on top of a salad I was prepping as well. My meals are all very different. One day it could be steak and potatoes and this week was my shrimp salads.

What I am trying to point out is that it is okay to want to change your appearance and you should take the steps to do so in a healthy manor but don’t let your desires consume you!
